About Duck Pond Day Care

Thank you for your interest in Duck Pond Day Care! We are a private child care center licensed by the Office of Early Childhood, State of Connecticut. The primary goal of Duck Pond Day Care centers is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that is designed to meet the developmental needs of children. We provide classes for children ages 6-weeks through 6 years.

We have part-time and full-time options available for enrollment. Our curriculum will address the cognitive, language, social/emotional growth, creative and physical needs of young children. Our purpose is to create an atmosphere in which children are able to develop a positive self-concept through a balance of teacher-directed and self-directed activities. We will provide opportunities for structured group activities as well as for independent play and quiet time.

Our hours of operation are from 7:00am to 5:30pm. We are open Monday through Friday, closing on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Professional Development Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after and Holiday Recess between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Duck Pond Day Care is truly exceptional! From the moment we enrolled our two children at four months old, the staff have felt like family. The teachers are not only well-trained in center protocols but also incredibly warm, loving, and attentive. They learned each of my children’s unique personalities and supported their development in a way that met their individual needs. The director is always available for calls from parents and sends weekly newsletters with important information, making communication easy and reassuring. We are constantly touched by the care they show—even checking in when our kids are out sick. Duck Pond Day Care is a nurturing, safe, and loving center that we are so grateful to be a part of!
